Senior Health Informatic Officer
The Senior Health Informatics Officer is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing health data systems to support program implementation, monitoring, and decision-making. This role bridges public health and technology by ensuring data quality, system efficiency, and actionable insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain health information systems and databases.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness across all platforms.
Analyze health data and generate insights to support program strategies.
Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
Collaborate with program and field teams to improve data collection processes.
Support digital tool implementation (e.g., mobile data collection systems).
Provide training and technical support to staff on data systems.
Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in health data management or informatics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data tools (Excel, SQL, DHIS2, Power BI/Tableau, etc).
Understanding of health systems and data reporting standards.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Experience working in NGO or development sector.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Experience with data integration and system automation.
Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
