Senior Health Informatic Officer

The Senior Health Informatics Officer is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing health data systems to support program implementation, monitoring, and decision-making. This role bridges public health and technology by ensuring data quality, system efficiency, and actionable insights.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain health information systems and databases.

  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness across all platforms.

  • Analyze health data and generate insights to support program strategies.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

  • Collaborate with program and field teams to improve data collection processes.

  • Support digital tool implementation (e.g., mobile data collection systems).

  • Provide training and technical support to staff on data systems.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in health data management or informatics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data tools (Excel, SQL, DHIS2, Power BI/Tableau, etc).

  • Understanding of health systems and data reporting standards.

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Experience working in NGO or development sector.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

  • Experience with data integration and system automation.

  • Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
